2nd Nine Weeks Vocabulary
1. A. Naive(Adj) - Showing a lack of experience, wisdom, or judgment.
B. My teammates are showing naive during practice, or in the weight room
C. My Dad was very lazy yesterday
2. A. Niche(Noun) - A shallow recess, especially one in a wall to display a statue or other ornament.
B. My brother stood like a niche for 30 minutes, the my other brother tried and he didn't do it for 5 minutes.
C. Standing like a niche is really hard.
3. A. Obliterate(Verb) - Destroy utterly; wipe out.
B. I went to an obliterate company, so all they do is just destroy stuff all day.
C. I can destroy stuff with my hands and my feet.
4. A. Gratify(Verb) - give (someone) pleasure or satisfaction.
B. MJ gave my dad gratify, but that would be the only time my dad would've gotten to see him.
C. I try to gratify with my siblings every day.
5. A. Infinite(Adj) - limitless or endless in space, extent, or size; impossible to measure or calculate.
B. My younger brother said he wants to live until infinite, and then my older brother said your so stupid.
C. We use infinite in math class all the time.
6. A. Coefficient(Noun) - a numerical factor of a term.

7. A. multiplicative inverse(Adj) - subject to or of the nature of multiplication.
B. The math teacher told us to use multiplicative inverse, or you can do a division instead.

8. A. identity(Noun) - is an equality relation A = B, such that A and B contain some variables and A and B produce the same value as each other regardless of what values (usually numbers) are substituted for the variables.
B. My dad asked me what vocabulary word this is, and i answered the wrong definition.
9. A. Null set(Noun) - also called the empty set, is the set that does not contain anything.
B. I asked my mom what null set was, and i wasn't surprised that she got it correct.
10. A. properties(Noun) - the commutative, associative, additive identity and distributive properties.
B. Properties is not the property that you live on, its the type of property that is for math.
11. A. Embody(Verb) - be an expression of or give a tangible or visible form to (an idea, quality, or feeling).
B. I want to be an embodied person, so I can be a great student one day.
16.A Plate(Noun) - the two sub-layers of the earth's crust (lithosphere) that move, float, and sometimes fracture and whose interaction causes continental drift, earthquakes, volcanoes, mountains, and oceanic trenches.
B. Plate is the plate that you eat off of, its the plate that you are standing on.
17.A. Ring of Fire(Noun) - a major area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean where a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur.
B. the ring of fire is a circle around the atlantic plate, and the outer side is filled with volcanoes.
18.A. Pangea(Noun) - was a supercontinent that existed during the late Paleozoic and earlyMesozoic eras.
B. Pangea used to be one whole continent, but then it got seperated into 7 continents.
19.A. fault(Verb) - (of a rock formation) be broken by a fault or faults.
B. There are alot of faults on California, but there are more around the globe.
20.A. Isostatic rebound(Noun) - Rise of land masses that were depressed by the huge weight of ice sheets during the last glacial period.
B. Some people think this is fake, but if you look it up you might change your mind.
21.A. Sympathy(Noun) - feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else's misfortune.
B. you can use sympathy for your essay, or you can fail this big grade.
22.A.Empathy(Noun) - the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.
B. Empthy is the opposite of sympathy, because you share your feelings instead of asking for someone elses feelings.
23.A. Apathy(Noun) - lack of interest.
B. It feels like everytime i ask my dad something he is always apathy with it, but when i ask my mom it's a totally different story.
24.A. Connotation(Noun) - an idea or feeling that a word invokes in addition to its literal or primary meaning.
B. I always use connotation in my vocab, but when I don't I don't do very good.
25.A. Dennotation(Noun) - The literal or primary meaning of a word, in contrast to the feelings or ideas that the word suggests.
B. I never use denotation, unless it's for a good cause.
Screenflow is a good app to use when u want to record something from your computer or your laptop. Screenflow is a app that records just about anything and gives you a huge amount of editing options afterwards. Screenflow will record everything from your iSight camera to microphone audio or speaker audio enabling you to add crystal clear commentaries to your screencasts.
In my screenflow tutorial I used transitions those make it look better when you want to turn a page. I used Callout which that means when you want to zoom in or zoom out in your video. I used Cut which means that if you wanna cut something out of your your tutorial. You can use a text box on screenflow, and you can scale which that means that you can zoom in or out, and annotations
Screenflow tutorials gonna be good to use in the future because, then you can show your kids how to use them and you can use it every time you want to put something on youtube or share it to your teacher or somebody else. If your teacher shows you in your class you can use it in the real life maybe if you want to be a famous youtuber because, the youtubers use screenflow all the time when they want to record something, and post it on youtube.
